Wounds, Minor Burns, Cuts and Grazes

HCA Urgent Care Centres have dedicated facilities to provide immediate first aid and treatment for minor wounds, burns, cuts or grazes.

Our expert nursing and medical team will first assess your injury, and then provide appropriate treatment or referral for specialist care. Most minor injuries (skin lacerations, small 1st degree burns, minor abscesses) can be seen and treated within the department, this includes cleaning and washout, suturing under local anaesthetic, wound dressing, x-rays, antibiotics and tetanus.

We can also arrange short and long term follow-up in the department to review and ensure appropriate wound healing.

Our network of private specialist consultants are available for referral for more complex injuries and wounds.
