Urgent Care for Children

Our Urgent Care Centre for Children is based at The Portland Hospital, renowned for specialist healthcare of women and children. The Portland sees and treats over 45,000 children every year, making it the UK’s largest private children’s hospital.

The Portland’s Urgent Care Centre for children can see children aged 0-17, and is open 365 days a year 8.00am – 8.00pm. With our rota of leading paediatricians, urgent care doctors with sub-specialist training in emergency care, and the reassuring back-up of paediatric intensive care, you can be confident that we’ll provide the best possible care for your child, whether their condition is straightforward or more complex.

Initial consultations at The Portland’s Urgent Care Centre for Children cost £150, and if your child needs treatment from a consultant specialist, it is possible to utilise private medical insurance, or to self-pay.

Our on-site team will be able to provide you with further assistance regarding payment, and further information about prices and costs within the urgent care centre can be found here

For any life threatening conditions patients should always call 999 or go the nearest NHS emergency department.
