Dr Tatiana Soares
Tatiana graduated from Oporto Medical Faculty in 2009. During her GP training she rotated through many specialities including Gynaecology/Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Dermatology, and Psychiatry. During her GPST, she also started to work different private clinics as well as local A&E, gaining further experience.
She finished her specialty in May 2015 and moved to London August same year. She joined Roodlane as a UCC doctor January 2016.
In her spare time, Tatiana enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and friends with good food and drinks.
Dr Eric Kok
B Pharm, MSc, MBChB, DCH
Eric studied pharmacy at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa and graduated in 1977. After completing his pharmacy traineeship in a community pharmacy, he went back to Rhodes to obtain a Masters degree in Pharmacology.
Together with his pharmacist wife, he went on to open his own pharmacy in Grahamstown where they worked until moving to Cape Town where he studied medicine at the University of Cape Town. He graduated in 1990. The year after graduating he worked at the renowned Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Rondebosch, Cape Town and also studied for and obtained his Diploma in Child Health.
In 1992 he went into private practice as a General Practitioner, initially in a two man practice. A couple of years later he joined the Kenilworth Medicross in Cape Town. This was a clinic that grew into a 12 man GP practice, supported by 4 nursing sisters, and an X ray facility. This provided a General Practice facility as well as dealing with emergency problems from the wider community.
Eric gained extensive experience working as a GP for 23 years before moving to Dublin, Ireland in 2015 to work for a year in a VHI Swiftcare Clinic which is a private walk in facility. Here he gained more valuable experience especially in the field of orthopaedic injuries. He moved to the UK at the end of 2015 to be closer to his grown up children and their families and started at Roodlane at the beginning of 2016.
He has recently completed his ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) which he renews every 2 years.
He is a keen golfer, and enjoys photography and painting. He was a member of the Southern Suburbs Doctors Art Group in Cape Town where he exhibited and sold his paintings.
