- Do patients need to make an appointment?
- No, this is an on-demand service – there is no need to make any prior arrangements.
- Will the GP be kept informed of their patient’s care?
- Provided the patient gives consent, we will always write to update the GP and provide copies of any results relating to the patient.
- Will the patient’s treatment be covered by insurance?
- The initial consultation will not be covered, but the cost of subsequent tests and consultations should be reclaimable if the patient is seen by an accredited consultant subsequent to their visit.
- What are the unit’s opening times?
- The Urgent Care Centre is open every day from 8:00am to 10:00pm, 365 days a year. We see our last patient at 9:30pm.
